Thank you for join in The Ghostly Reading Challenge. We'll have lots of fun =D
You ask if this challenge can overlap another, sure it can. And about the reading list, nothing is written in stone here, yet LoL So feel free to change your list as much as you want it. I sure do this all the time. You never know we=hen the book of your dreams (or nightmare) will appear, right? LoL

  13. Hey everyone! If you like indie reads, Scott Nicholson has a couple of ghost & zombie books that's selling for FREE in Amazon in Kindle format. I got a couple of books to help me meet this challenge. Just want to share, I'm reading Creative Spirit and it's like the 6th sense meets Stephen King.

  16. Hi, Darlene. I'm posting here and on goodreads and putting the button of the reading challenge :)
I liked your reviews, but I have to say, wow, i are in a lot of reading challenges girl LoL

  17. Hi again! Is there a place to link our post reviews? Also, does a book count if there are ghosts in it, but they are not necessarily the main subject? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hi Again :D Yep, I just add a link so we can add the link to our review for the challenge :D I just put mines :)

There's no need to be an all ghost book. If it has ghosts it counts. :D

  19. Caught up with my ghost posts. I accidentally forgot to pst the link the first time for First Grave on the Right. So sorry about that. But hope you like my choices so far LOL! Having a lot of fun. Thank you so much :)

  20. Hi! The one subject matter I like best is ghost material! Of all the community reading events I've joined, this is the first ghost one I've found and I'm very glad!

Before I sign-up for more reading (even if this is MY REALM); I'd like to ensure the hostess replies. I've been disappointed others don't look at messages. I may likely cancel one to do this instead. Having access to the person running things is important. Huge thanks. :)

    1. Howdy! I’m glad you like it. I was looking for one and couldn’t find, so Heidi (my budybook and bff) told me to host one. :P

  21. It looks like 'Lila' is great at answering. I'll get my questions going.
1: It says "December 1-31"; it goes for one month at the end of this year? Any prizes or just fun as a community?

2: Instructions indicate reviews are voluntary but then I see a spot for review links. Mind clarifying? :)

3: Does it matter how long ago ghost-related material is read, if reviews are new? Or should reading follow event dates? If I joined late, I could include books matching your date at least. When I understand what the dates are. LOL!

    1. Well, I try to always reply as much as I can. :) Thanx.

1- It's a typo *giggle* sorry. I meant January till December :) No prizes, just to share and have fun with it :P

2 - Reviews are voluntary, I just put the linky so people will have where to share the reviews, if they feel like it. To me the review is a big part of the fun and I think many feel the same, so I like to make it easy for all to find the reviews and stuff.

3 - The book can be as old or as new as you wish. As long as the reading is done in 2012, it's game. This is for fun and people find new and awesome books. And you are welcome yo join in :-)

  22. Hi Lila, hope to hear from you soon so I can start my favourite topic. I wrote a great post you and your readers will like! :) I confirmed a typo. Your event does go Jan 1-Dec 31.

Questions: are reviews required, or do we just list titles we're reading? Are there prizes?

Can we count books read before, if our review is in 2012? There are books I read a while ago that I never reviewed before. :) ¡Grácias Lila! http://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2012/07/06/into-ghosts/

    1. Sorry if I didn't reply sooner, I try to reply as fast and as always as I can, but my job, school and life itself LoL take a toll on me. :P
Reviews are always welcome, but I'm not the boss of anyone. This is supposed to be fun, not slavery. LoL
No prizes other than the fun in doing it :-D
Is preferable is the reading is from 2012, but if the book is really superduper good and you want to share it with us, feel free to do it :)

Oh, that reminds me, I have to write my reviews LoL I'm sooo far behind. *sigh*

Ok, I hope I could answer your questions.

C yah and thanx for stopping by :)

  23. Nice to hear from you Lila!
Surely no one is taking school or university in the summer. That would be wrong in Canada, where we cling to our warm weather months with gratitude! :) Okay I understand: reviews and the whole event is for fun.

Since there is no prize, no rules, so I might count books from the past. Only because I found out about your event very late. It will correct my 'time disadvantage'. However I will try to read 6 new ghost books anyway. I am very glad to meet everyone here and I will sign-up! You will love the post I wrote for you! Hugs, Carolyn M. Riedel.

  27. Happy new year Lila and all! I've had a lot of trouble getting reviews to go into your link. Right now, my last ones (below) aren't getting picked up and it's Dec 31! I hope you give time to catch up. If no closing post is needed, I'll just share how I did. :) Carolyn.

  29. I don't bother with closing posts if I don't have to and all of the reviews worked out. :) I can't find another ghost challenge out there! Even the paranormal one I found asks for specific categories (like vampires, yuck).

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hello ghost fans! I would like everyone to know that I have started my own 3 reading challenges! At least one fits very nicely with the paranormal (real paranormal, vs 'supernatural' characters). It is called "Etheral". I also have a choice of 2 word games and a very different mystery format.

Please note that I want you to read and review in your language of origin. :) If we're unsure what reviews say, we may ask you. Sincerely, Carolyn. http://cmriedel.wordpress.com/riedel-reading-themes/
