The World Among Us by Beth Ann MasarikMy rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Plot - As old as time. Guy loves girl, she is married, her husband is murdered, guy has to seduce her, he really loves her, she hates him, he’s dad is the lord of all bad things, well, you’ve got the point, right? It’s the classic cross star lovers’ story that we all love and can’t stay away from.

The Characters - I believe that anyone that has a little knowledge about mythology knows them, but just in case you don’t I’ll introduce you to a few:
Hades, always a pleasure:

Selene:

Gaia:

The Writing - Since this is my first Beth’s book, I was not very familiarized with the writing style and it took me a while to get into the story. Since this one is not first person perspective didn’t help, but I could understand the story and the plot was very clear. Hades sure made his plan very crystal clear, if you know what I mean LoL

Considerations - It’s hard to love someone that doesn’t love you and is super-duper hard to love someone who you are supposed to hate. Tuff stuff, right? Well, this is Damien’s dilemma and how he handle it is what you’ll find out in this book.
